Rosalia

Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is an Spanish flamenco and pop vocalist. Since she was a teen she sang with traditional as well as popular music. However, her music interests have widened to include hip-hop and soul. Her voice is described by no less talented than flamenco musician Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp, however with a bit of bite similar to older versions. After her 2017 debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and her follow-up album in 2018. El Mal Querer was a huge commercial and critical hit that topped the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and ultimately winning a Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd came out in 2021. Motomami was a collaboration with many artists including Cory Henry, James Blake and many others. The album was released in 2022, as a result of an appearance on Saturday Night Live appearance by the famous singer Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish singer to perform solo on the show. In addition to winning three other Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia was also the first woman to win the Latin Album of the Year twice.
